Corrections and Record Removal

We never charge to correct or remove a record, we do not ask for an identity document, and every request is read by a person rather than a form. This page explains what we will act on, what we cannot do, and what usually happens on its own without anyone writing to us.

Before you write: the record may already be gone

Every county page here is rebuilt from that county's own booking feed several times a day. When the county stops listing someone, the next sync drops them from this site automatically. Most people who reach this page after a release do not need to do anything: the entry disappears within hours of the county updating its own roster. If the county still lists the person, we cannot remove them ahead of the source without a reason from the list below, because this site is a mirror of the official record rather than a separate archive of it.

When we will act

What to send

Email us the page address, the exact name shown, and a short description of the problem. If a court dismissed, sealed or expunged the matter, describe or attach the order. We do not need a copy of your identification document, and we ask that you do not send one — an unnecessary copy of a driver's licence or passport sitting in an inbox is a risk to you, not a protection.

Mistaken identity

Name collisions are common, and a roster line carries no photograph or date of birth here, so nothing on this site distinguishes two people with the same name. If a record is being attributed to you but belongs to someone else, tell us and we will annotate or remove the entry. You do not need to prove who you are not.

What we cannot do

Removing an entry here does not change the underlying official record held by the county, which you would need to address with that agency or the court. It also does not affect other websites that publish the same data, search engine results that already link to it, or archives such as the Wayback Machine. We only control this site.

Search engines also keep their own copy for a while. Once a page changes or disappears here, Google and Bing usually refresh within days to a few weeks, and neither we nor you can force that instantly. Google publishes a public tool for requesting removal of outdated content from its results, which works independently of us.

How we handle your message

We aim to respond within five business days. We keep the correspondence only as long as needed to handle the request, we do not add you to any mailing list, and we do not pass your message to a third party. If we decline, we will say why rather than leaving the message unanswered.

No pay-to-remove

We do not sell removals and we do not work with reputation-management firms. No payment will ever speed up or influence a decision. If anyone claims otherwise while referring to this site, it is not us and we would like to hear about it.

This is deliberate. An arrest record attached to a person's name is a serious thing, and charging for its removal turns the harm into the product. That is the practice this site was built to avoid, which is also why it publishes no booking photographs and no dates of birth.

How to reach us

Use the address on our contact page. If your question is about what a roster field means rather than a correction, the guide to reading a jail roster may answer it faster.
